Meet the Staff

Pat Hoey, President

Patrick J. Hoey brings over forty years of sales-marketing experience to work for Pat Hoey Productions and Sales Development Associates. He achieved his first marketing successes while a territory sales manager for Burrough’s Corporation where he reached 140% of sales quotas and learned the techniques of sales training.

Thirty nine years ago, he joined the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce and parleyed his experience into making it the largest in New England with a membership growth of 440%, bringing it from 900 to 4000 members. During that time, Pat began producing WRCC’s New England Business Expo, selling the event out 10 years in a row, making it one of the largest and most profitable Business Expos in the area.

Pat is also the recipient of numerous National Association of Membership Directors of Chambers of Commerce awards including:

Today, Pat speaks frequently to chambers, organizations, non-profits on fund raising, sales and product development at meetings and conferences throughout the country, including:

From the experience of producing the New England Business Expo internally, when Pat opened Sales Development Associates in 1983 he continued to produce the event for the Chamber under Pat Hoey Productions. His experience, exceptional sales skills, and top level management skills has been the building blocks for Pat Hoey Productions which has now been producing trade shows and corporate events for over 25 years. Marlena Eastty, Vice President

Our Vice President, Marlena K. Eastty has worked with Pat Hoey Productions since 2004. Starting out as a part time administrative intern, she worked her way up the ladder to Director of Operations. In the midst of those positions, Marlena also held the position of Chief Account Executive selling out the Central MA Flower Show two years in a row. She has also sold booth space and sponsorship’s for the firm’s events including The Boston Home Show Spring and Fall Editions, Flower & Patio Show, Build Northeast Conference & Expo, and the Northeast Security Systems Expo.

Marlena works directly with, and oversees staff working with, our clients on bringing together the details needed to bring forth successful events. Marlena oversees on site logistics, speaker management, overall event layout coordination, marketing planning, including website management and social media campaigns, and more.

From 2015- 2019 Marlena worked with University of Massachusetts Medical School as a Program Coordinator for their membership organization, the Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health and Program Event Coordinator for their national conference, the Academic & Health Policy Conference on Correctional Health.

Marlena has since returned to Pat Hoey Productions full time as Vice President. She works side by side with our President, Pat Hoey, and staff to build events with our valuable clients. She manages the day to day operations of the office as well as the rest of the PHP team.

Marlena has also held the position of Campaign Manager for Sales Development Associates. She has served as the campaign manager for the firms hundreds of association membership campaigns. She assists our facilitators and association staff with the 8 week preparation leading up to membership campaigns, providing time schedules, sample documents, and prioritizing the tasks weekly to make sure the job is done effectively. Marlena has worked with hundreds of industry associations and non- profit organizations including Chamber’s of Commerce, across the country to date on their membership and fundraising campaigns.

For our association management clients, Marlena takes the role of Chief Executive Officer and oversees all project management for the organizations including financial, membership, and event management. She handles bookkeeping for clients, manages membership sales and benefit fulfillment, and acts as lead event coordinator on our client’s conferences and expos. She also manages all web and social media content, including creating websites for the organization’s, should they need it.

 

Stephanie Lent, Marketing Coordinator

Stephanie received her Business of Administration degree from Bay Path University in 2013 Suma Cum Laude. She is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Western Governor’s University with an anticipated completion in 2019.

Stephanie worked for Pat Hoey Productions from 2006-2008 full time as a marketing assistant. She worked alongside two show managers on PHP’s several events, including the Fall & Spring Boston Home Shows, the Central MA Flower Show, and our Cheers to Beer Fest. She was in direct contact with exhibitors and sponsors providing customer service and assisted our show managers with sponsorship benefit implementations, financial management, on site logistics, and website management for all of the events.

Stephanie also worked alongside our President, Pat, providing customer service to our Chamber’s of Commerce clients on their membership campaigns. Pat developed an 8 week systematic approach to assist Chamber’s grow their membership base under the umbrella of our parent company, Sales Development Associates, Inc. The campaign plans require weekly check ins and meeting deliverable deadlines prior to Pat travelling to the client to lead a 1-2 day phone-a-thon campaign with 25-30 volunteers. Stephanie worked with the clients outlining their priorities for the week and answering any questions they had to make sure these deadlines were met.

Stephanie also has background in the healthcare and higher education industry. Her last position before returning to Pat Hoey Productions was serving as the Undergraduate Operations Coordinator and Veterans Affairs Representative for Worcester Polytechnic Institute. There, she assisted students in making sure their degree requirements were met for graduation.  She also served as the Certifying Official for all students using VA benefits and the creation of the school’s Veterans Benefits webpage.  She was responsible for processing grade changes as well as serving as a liaison for questions and problems surrounding grade process.

In 2015 Stephanie relocated to Chesapeake Virginia and Pat Hoey Productions was lucky to have her return as a virtual consultant on their projects. Stephanie assists Marlena and Pat on all aspects of the firm’s events, specifically design on event materials, website management, and customer service for our client’s as Pat Hoey Productions’ Marketing Coordinator.

 

 

 

 

Brian Plouffe, Sales Director

Our Director of Sales Brian Plouffe has been working with Pat Hoey Productions/ Sales Development Associates for several years.

He is involved with clients every step of the way through their event marketing endeavor with Pat Hoey Productions. With a background in marketing, Brian is always going above and beyond for clients with new and innovative suggestions that will improve their ROI for their exhibit booth in a current show, at “events within the events” or simply during the planning of their trade show or corporate event.

In addition, Brian, alongside our customer service team, has helped several chambers of commerce increase membership while implementing the latest tools for retention. To date he has facilitated more than 10 membership drives, gained over 1000 new members and raised over $200,000 for chambers across the nation.
